Industrial Recycling Services for Manufacturers
IH-R collects scrap metal, industrial plastic, corrugated, paper and e-waste from manufacturing plants across Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky, providing specialized manufacturing recycling services to optimize plant waste management. Every stream runs on one account, with one account manager and one schedule.
Containers go where the material is: a self-dumping hopper at the machine, a gaylord at the press, a lugger in the bay, or a 53-foot trailer at the dock that is loaded as material comes off the line and removes on-site storage entirely.
One vendor instead of four. Swaps happen within 24 hours, there is no minimum, mixed loads are accepted with no sorting penalty, and nothing we collect goes to landfill.
Rebates. We pay rebates on material and pay for metal by weight. Rates depend on grade and volume.

Manufacturing recycling FAQ
Can you place containers right at the machine?
Yes. Self-dumping hoppers from 1/4 to 2 cubic yards sit at the machine and tip by forklift into a lugger in the bay, and gaylords go at the press. Shop tubs from 1 to 3 cubic yards fit inside where a lugger cannot reach, so scrap is never carried across the floor.
Do we have to separate metal, plastic and cardboard?
No. Mixed loads are accepted with no sorting penalty. Where keeping a grade separate, such as clean turnings or a single alloy, earns a better return, we will tell you and set up a container for it.
How quickly can you swap a full container?
Within 24 hours of your call, with no minimum. For continuous output, a 53-foot trailer stays at the dock, is loaded as material comes off the line and is swapped when full.
Do you take plastic purge and regrind?
Yes. Purge, runners, sprues, regrind and molded rejects are collected in gaylords at the press, along with film, edge trim and roll ends, through our industrial plastic recycling.
Do you pay for scrap metal?
Yes. We pay for metal by weight and pay rebates on other material. Rates depend on grade and volume.
Can you handle a plant shutdown or line changeover?
Yes. Roll-offs from 10 to 40 cubic yards are staged before the work starts for motors, cabling, conduit, controls, stainless and obsolete equipment, then removed when the job is done.
What area do you serve?
We serve commercial and industrial accounts within 50 miles of Cincinnati, including Dayton, Northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana.
