A manufacturing city on the Great Miami River

Hamilton’s industry grew up around the Hamilton Hydraulic, a canal system completed in 1845 that carried Great Miami River water to paper mills, flour mills and machine shops. Paper and packaging, metalworking and machinery have been part of the city’s economy ever since.

For decades I-75 bypassed Hamilton. SR 129, the Butler County Veterans Highway, opened in 1999 and gave the city a direct limited-access link to I-75. Today Hamilton Enterprise Park, a city-owned industrial park, is home to newer manufacturing and packaging plants.

Scrap metal pickup in Hamilton

We pick up steel, cast, aluminum, copper, brass, stainless and wire from machine shops, fabricators and plants. Grades follow the ReMA (formerly ISRI) specifications, loads are weighed on certified scales and metal is paid by weight. Self-dumping hoppers, lugger boxes and 53-foot dock trailers are sized to how much metal a site handles. Our scrap metal service.

Roll-offs, cleanouts and trailers

Roll-off containers from 10 to 40 cubic yards are swapped within 24 hours of your call, with no minimum. For plant cleanouts and out-of-service machinery, see equipment removal & cleanouts; old dry vans, reefers and box trucks are covered by semi trailer removal.

Paper, packaging and everything else

Corrugated, paper and plastic go on the same schedule as the metal, along with e-waste and batteries. See recycling for manufacturers.
